Believe or Else

"There is no compulsion in religion; truly the right way has become clearly distinct from error; therefore, whoever disbelieves in the Shaitan (Devil) and believes in Allah he indeed has laid hold on the firmest handle, which shall not break off, and Allah is Hearing, Knowing." Verse 256 The Cow Sura.

One of the many contradictions in Islam, is the one that preaches about freedom of belief, in the verse above from the Quran it clearly states that there is no compulsion in Islam, any one who reads this might feel re-asured, i know i did. then when you read the verse that follows it, the whole concept changes.

"Allah is the guardian of those who believe. He brings them out of the darkness into the light; and (as to) those who disbelieve, their guardians are Shaitans (Devil) who take them out of the light into the darkness; they are the inmates of the fire, in it they shall abide." Verse 257 The Cow Sura.

It is pretty obviouse now that the second verse contradicts with the first one, because Mohammad tells you that no one is forcing you to become a Muslim or to remain Muslim, then on the second verse he promises those who don't convert to Islam or who don't remain in Islam will have to suffer the torment of hell fire. I guess there is not much of choice there, Believe or burn in hell. It sounds like an effective scheme to put fear in the minds of the ignorant, and make him/her submit to his/her delusions which Mohammad had planted in his/her minds, at the same time believing that they didn't feel forced or brutally forced to be Muslims.

It is nothing more than a mind games that Mohammad likes to play on his followers, to insure obedience, submission, and leadership over the masses, and he was also good at setting examples along the way by killing all those who didn't believe him or criticized him by executing them in public, thus planting more fear in the hearts of people, fear to speak, fear of freedom, and fear of thinking, or doubt. Even now more than 1400 years after his death, people are afraid to doubt Gods existence even at their own discretion, because they've seen they have a delusion a scary fantasy in their minds that repels them from doubting, even if for some reason they start to doubt for as less as a micro-second, they mumble a few of Mohammad's magic words to repent from the sin of doubting.

Mohammad had left behind the book that he wrote "Quran" this book is now used to fulfill Mohammad's birocracy by terrorising the innocent, killing and torturing those who don't believe. Even on a smaller scale, when it comes to family relations, an atheist or a person who doesn't believe in the relegion of the parents will be an out-cast and will be rejected, his/her friends will see him/her as a person who's on hell's waiting list. It is that same relegion that takes away the goodness from people's heart. and replaces it with revenge.

Have u do a thorough research of the Quran and the Bible? Have u ever asked all ur doubt and questions to any Imam or Priests? I suggest you talk about what u believe and do not waste time on what other people believe as u cant change them. Enrich the world with what you believe. You give me a very bad impression of Atheist. Be it Islam, Christianity, Buddha or Hindu, at least we do not talk bad about other people belief. An atheist follow what principle? To go around and find fault in every other religion, especially Islam, so that you can reassure yourself of your believe? What a pitiful way of being an atheist then!

Isn't the Quran wonderful!! It has a lot of contradictions! And you are sooooo wonderful to be able to see all these contradictions and not billion and zillion of people before u and now.

Yes, wonderful, you have seen the contradictions. God has given u the brain to see these contradictions. No, have you ever wondered and asked why there is this contradictions? What could be the caused or reason for the contradictions. Are they in the same context? Obviously, you are one of those non-believers who are trying to find fault in Islam and uses the verses at your advantage. Seriously, i think u are not being fair to yourself and those who read your blog. As an atheist I challenge you to write something beautiful about Islam or Christianity. Be a happy, contented atheist and not a sour and all-out-to-kill other religion. Think about your very existence in this world and do a good deed or a bad one as you like as you do not have to worry about life after death. If I'm an atheist, I don't care if I do good or bad. What I really care would be how to live life to the fullest on this earth regardless of anything. A good heart will certainly do good but a bad heart will do the reverse and nothing will stop them. Lucky, there is this hell and heaven!!

Why can't believers ever reason with logic? Because then they would have to think for themselves. Thinkers (who is clearly a muslim) claims that none of the "great" religions talk bad abouth other peoples beliefs. I don't know about the Buddhist or Hindus but I do know the bible, quran and torah all look down on the "unbelievers" and say that they will burn in hell forever. Nice! Ever considered that an atheist like Awakened or myself just believes in one less god then you do? Once people start to think religion becomes mythology until someone thinks up a new scheme (or borrows stuff from older ones as the three fairy tale books that I mentioned above do).

There are two sources of organized religion(1) India and (2) Middle east. From India Hinduism, Jain, Buddhist and Sikh religion have originated and from middle East Jews, Christians and Islam has originated.

While, religions of Middle east have a Monotheistic ( one God -- ONLY ONE)theme and as such are intolerant of any alternative view, the ethos of religion originating from India exhibit tolerance for alternative views. The latter is due largely, to the ethos of Hinduism which is Polytheistic( multiple gods). The holy text of Hinduism teach "Sarv Dharm Sambhav" ( language- Sanskrit and it means- All Religion are possible) It also teach " Munde-Munde Mati Bhinnh"( language Sanskrit and it means Every head has a different opinion). It also teaches "Vasudhaiv Kutumbakam" ( Language -sanskrit and it means the entire earth is one family thus we have to be tolerant of the views of other family members). It will be amusing to you perhaps, that Jain and Buddhism DO NOT ACKNOWLEDGE THE EXISTENCE OF GOD. So they are a religion without God.

Jains believe that each element in this world works automatically according to its inherent nature - no hand of God is required here.

Buddhist believe in the principle of "Pati-utpatti-samutpad" ( language Pali which means dependent origination. this can be clarified as - the origin of everything vests in something else) So there is no original cause -- God.This is why many persons with scientific attitude find Buddhism to be attractive and even Atheists are welcome!
Here I would like to remind you that NONE of the Indian-origin religion has been imposed on others with sword in hand. The adherents have been acquired by each and every religion by logical persuasion and setting an exemplary conduct.

Of the three religion originating from Middle East two have "matured" to acquire tolerance. Jewish religion matured by oppression faced, decimation, dispersal, and small number of adherents.

Christianity matured due to nationalist urges of Europe, Non-conformist attitude of Colonizers( the people) of Americas and scientific temperament of people, and separation of church and state.

The third religion has not matured because it got entwined with politics and empire building from the very beginning.

First and foremost, for respect to prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), I kindly ask you to remove those pictures of him.

Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) did not write the Qu'ran. The Angel Gabriel came down and recited the Qu'ran over a period of 23 years to Muhammad (Peace be upon him). Prophet Muhammad(Pbuh) was illiterate and did not know how to write, so he gathered some of his companions to write the Qu'ran as it was being recited. The Qu'ran is the direct word of Allah(God) who is the first, and the last, nothing comes before Allah or after Him. To prove it more,

In the Qu'ran it states that:

"...Nor does he speak from [his own] inclination. It is not but a revelation revealed, Taught to him by one intense in strength -" Surah An Najm [(3-5)]

Allah put us on earth as a test to see who will come back to Him.

Allah states:

"And We will surely test you with something of fear and hunger and a loss of wealth and lives and fruits, but give good tidings to the patient, Who, when disaster strikes them, say, "Indeed we belong to Allah, and indeed to Him we will return." Surah Al-Baqara [(155-156)]

Allah has shown us many examples in the Qu'ran of what happened to the people who transgressed before us, for example the people of Thamud and Fir'aun(Pharoah). Allah tells us these things because he wants us to come back to Him and to purify our hearts. Allah is the severe punisher but he also loves us more than our mothers would ever love us. If you obey and believe in Allah He will give you eternal paradise with all the riches otherwise if you disobey Him and disbelieve in his oneness, He will give you eternal hellfire. It only makes sense because Allah is the all-provider and all-wise.

The laws of forbiding alcohol came in gradually and soon enough when the hearts were attached to Allah people stopped. So really fear of the punishments is NOT the driving force of becoming a muslim, its the attachment and love for the creator that makes us forbid evil and do good.

Prophet Muhammad(pbuh) is a mercy to mankind sent from God to be able to deliever this beautiful message of Islam to the world and taught us a lot of good manners and has shown us the best of character in his sayings and actions (Hadiths). He is a role model for all the muslims and should not be looked down upon with these horrible depictions, pictures and negative opinions.
